The signup process is pretty straightforward.
  1. Go to www.glo.com and click on start free trial
  2. It’s really nice that Glo is giving you the chance to customize your trial! You’ll be first asked what you want to focus on, the type of teacher that you want to be learning from, and prior experience with yoga. Just a note, you’ll be able to change all of these answers at preferences in account settings after you have created the account so no worries!
  3. Then after filling in your email and name, you’ll be able to choose from their plans: unrestricted yearly ($286/yr, $23.83/mo), unrestricted monthly ($28/mo), and beginner monthly ($15/mo). It does not matter which one you choose, as the first 7 days are free, so go for whatever plan you want!

2. What can I get from a Glo free trial

After your account is set up, you’ll be able to see curated daily practice for you, live classes, as well as those recorded lessons in different categories. Use Virtual Card Providers to add limited funds to cancel

There is a new way to get around the cancellation headache that ensures you won’t get charged but is just as, if not more, timely than the normal options.
Follow these steps to cancel using a virtual card provider:
  1. Go to one of the virtual card providers (e.g., DoNotPay, Privacy, X1)
  2. Go through their onboarding process to sign up for a card
  3. Create a card by adding Personal Info and Funding Source
  4. Add funding limit of $2 (this is to ensure authorization charge goes through)
  5. Sign-up for Glo and ensure payment goes through (these prepaid cards often get rejected)
  6. Set reminder(s) in your calendar when your Glo free trial is about to expire and evaluate if you want to keep or cancel your subscription
  7. Enjoy the subscription for the month
  8. When your reminder goes off, go back to virtual card site:
    • To Cancel: Lower funding limit from $2 to $0
    • To Keep: Look up the plan you want and increase funding limit to the monthly amount OR switch to your personal credit or debit card
While the virtual card option is a manual process, maybe more so than the old-school version, it is definitely safe from getting caught with an unwanted bill. However, you are limiting yourself from enjoying the subscription if you want to continue. Also, be careful, some of these card providers are subscription-based so you might get caught with an unwanted recurring payment from them!

4. What‘s the fine print I should know about?

Glo’s free trial does not have too many traps but there are a few things you should be aware of!
  1. Once you cancel the free trial, you’ll not be able to go sign up or continue the free trial again, which shouldn’t be a surprise.
  2. If you go to the “payment” section of account settings, they’ll show you exactly how many days are left in your free trial, so use that as a reminder as well!
  3. Also just to make the experience better, you can store Glo vids on your phone or tablet using their app so that you can take classes anywhere anytime.
